The Kathmandu Post

Summary

The Kathmandu Post stablished in February 1993, Nepal’s first privately owned English broadsheet daily, is today Nepal’s leading English language newspaper, with a daily circulation of 82,000 copies. This makes the Post Nepal’s second-most widely circulated newspaper. The paper is considered one of the most reliable publications for  The newspaper’s Op-Ed section is widely followed and features columns by some of Nepal’s eminent intellectuals. With an estimated daily readership of 410,000, the Kathmandu Post has done to English-reading abilities of Nepalis what Kantipur has done to their Nepali. The Kathmandu Post has developed a new language to tell Nepal’s stories in English to both local and international audience. It is published simultaneously from Kathmandu,  Biratnagar, Bharatpur and Nepalgunj.
